There Is a Reason Why the TV Series ‘Ancient Aliens’ is So Popular
By Dale Roethlisberger

The ‘Ancient Aliens’ TV series (now on the cable channel H2 – History 2) is not popular because it is actual history nor even recognized as  well thought-out scientific speculation. Certainly, the scientific community has shown its disdain for certain ‘facts’ presented in the show. On the other hand, scientifically, we have projects like the Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence (SETI) or the Kepler planet finding satellite. There are clearly some contexts where the thought of potential alien life forms is a compelling idea worth further exploration. Where to draw the line, as far as science is concerned, is changeable as the evidence or new theories emerge over time.

Actual history demonstrates that so-called ’scientific’ speculation can lead to actual science because the baseline speculation seems possible and it is compelling enough to spur theorists and researchers to act. We, as a species, tend to forget about all the abject failures and these rarely get many lines in the history books unless they further along an eventual break through. We do enjoy science fiction, nowadays, for more than a hundred years. Jules Verne and his submarine. Star Trek communicators and cell phones. It is important that as many minds as possible are afforded the opportunity to examine and think about emerging ideas. We may laugh about that crazy TV show centuries from now, but, what if some irrefutable ‘ancient alien’ evidence does turn up. The whole game does change.

The Genetic Code May Contain Evidence of Extraterrestial Life and Intelligence
By Dale Roethlisberger

Any structured set of information can be parsed or statistically analyzed in specific ways to yield information not readily apparent. Common examples of this outcome would be the prophecies of Nostradamus or keywords in the so-called Bible Code. Statisticians would point out that these models do appear to generate valid conclusions, but it is highly likely that these correlations are spurious. On the other hand, very few have made attempts to perform this type of analysis on the genetic code. There is the distinct possibility that embedded messages could be found in even the most primitive strands of DNA.

There are whole sections of most DNA molecules that appear to be inactive in any living organism. Why are those sections ‘turned off’. Or perhaps, they are the copyright notice from some very long lived civilization tinkering with DNA as an inter-galactic transmission medium known as life. We already have evidence in the form of extremophiles that life can crawl into environmental niches totally unexpected. Furthermore, we have instances where bacteria and viruses appear to have survived prolonged periods in space. Maybe some explanation can be found in the genetic code itself.

We suggest an attempt be made to crack the genetic code from a purely informational point of view. It might be rather interesting if a message like ‘Greetings from the Krell on Altair IV’ pops out of such an analysis. Better yet, what if there are some molecular scientific principles embedded in the code that represent important breakthroughs for mankind.

SETI Unlikely To Eavesdrop On Intelligent Alien Communications
By Dale Roethlisberger

The ‘Search for Extra-Terrestial Intelligence’ (SETI) keeps trying to eavesdrop on ‘our’ (i.e. from the  alien viewpoint) conversations using ideas and approaches that really don’t have much chance of succeeding. The information and ideas we ‘transmit’ across the vast distances of inter-stellar space are extremely valuable both for their content, as well as, the expense of the transmission itself. Given that these ideas and information are also potentially dangerous to cultures and social systems without the neccessary trail of intellectual assimilation to properly context the information or idea in the ‘local’ society, any alien culture would go to great lengths to ‘hide’ or encrypt both the transmission method and the information transmitted.

Even with the current technology available on ‘Earth’, it is possible to use multiple transmission frequencies across the whole electromagnetic spectrum. Anyone sampling the whole electromagnetic spectrum for artificially produced signals would think they are receiving ‘noise’ without knowing exactly the transmisson methodology and the ‘coding’ schema involved. Even advanced alien civilizations already in contact with other aliens would need to have such systems in place to both protect their own cultures from disruptive ideas and technolgies, as well as, insure the safety and viability of information to be used in inter-galactic trade. Of course, this doesn’t take into account the possibility that there may be transmission methods that go technologically beyond systems like radio, television, light and lasers, or anything else currently being utilized on ‘Earth’.

Lack of Effective Planetwide Government Impedes Contact With Intelligent Extra-Terrestials
By Dale Roethlisberger

The non-interference directive in those old ‘Star Trek’ TV episodes is an important idea. Countless times in human history, ‘outside’ cultures have decimated the societies and people they are visiting, whether for the purposes of war or peace or just a pit stop on the way to somewhere else. Mankind runs this risk even in speculating about ET’s. Invariably, some disease, disruptive technology, or shift in paradigm of social thought occurs. The consequences are usually disasterous.

Many times in our human history, when it’s just one group/leader meeting and negotiating with ‘outsiders’, the disruptive nature of a new cultural involvement can be spread out over a longer period of time and distinct negative conditions can be avoided entirely. It’s no guarantee, and you can only remotely imagine what the consequences of contact with intelligent extra-terrestials will bring. However, it is certain that if we Earthlings present ourselves as a planetwide negotiator (i.e. effective World Government) we stand a better chance of having a positive outcome when the intelligent aliens do come.

If I were one of the ET’s, I wouldn’t want to visit here under the current circumstances. The demands of every world leader alone would produce a ‘headache’ of galactic proportions. Imagine the reaction to an outside ‘religious’ belief that has no precedence here and may be tens of thousands or even millions of years old. National boundaries and cultural boundaries would be shattered. Until we have an effective way to represent ourselves beyond Earth, I say to the UFO people and the SETI scientists, be very careful, you may find what you are looking for.

Alien Species Do Communicate With Earth
By Dale Roethlisberger

Some people claim to have channeled extraterrestrial intelligent lifeforms or even met them in a ‘close encounter of the third kind’. Who are we to totally dismiss these reports even though there is no ’scientific’ data to support this type of communication. Inductive logic and reasoning alone has produced some speculative fiction (i.e. fantasy or science fiction) that has turned out to be most prophetic. Read your Jules Verne, H.G. Wells, or Arthur C. Clarke and understand how much of the foreseeable future can be ‘channeled’ by an individual’s imagination. If you don’t believe today’s cell phones are straight out of ‘Star Trek’, you are sadly mistaken.

Imagination is a powerful tool. Imagination allows humans to ’see’ desireable (or even undesireable) consequences of emerging realities. We here at AGP News are looking for people and stories that typify the ‘alien’ viewpoint. Our intent is to accelerate the scientific and technology advancement of humankind through responsible presentation of speculative thought. Instead of ‘thinking outside the box’, we hope to capture emerging realities by ‘thinking outside the human sphere’. If you believe ET’s exist, then it must be possible to ‘channel’ what their viewpoint is.
